Biography

Elles Poiesz acquired her first work experience in Brussels, after finishing her studies with a degree in International Business Communications. She was the Marketing Coordinator at TTO Brugman, responsible for sales, distribution and marketing of medical equipment across Western Europe. After returning to Amsterdam, she worked as ‘Travellers Cheque Service Coordinator’ at American Express, before taking a position as Marketing Manager Benelux at Frank den Ridder Party Group in Breda / Antwerp.

At Globrands in Amsterdam, Elles was responsible for managing and advising (international) clients in naming and brand development; she also served internally to cover both project management and the management of creative teams. She oversaw many assignments for clients in FMCG like Campina, Bolletje and Heineken, but she also covered other brands like Canon, Philips, VNU, Essent, ING Bank and Menzis.

Still, the more international side of branding kept attracting Elles: she convinced Interbrand of her powers as a Brand Strategist. This is where Elles received a great deal of experience and inspiration in the area of international branding. For the likes of Habib Bank, Utz Kapeh, Atos Origin and GE she worked with different Interbrand teams around the world. After many valuable years, the entrepreneur in Elles surfaced: she continued her career independently in 2007. And then there was Sogo.
